- Web-to-print (W2P)
- Software that lets customers order and personalize printed products through a website, generating production-ready files automatically instead of via email and manual prepress.
- Product personalizer
- A browser-based design tool embedded in an online store that lets shoppers add text, images and artwork to a product before buying, with a live preview of the final result.
- Print ERP / Print MIS
- Business software that manages a print company's full operation — quoting, order management, production scheduling, inventory, shipping and accounting — in one system.
- DTG (Direct-to-Garment)
- A printing method that applies ink directly onto textiles with an inkjet-style printer, ideal for detailed, full-color designs in small quantities.
- Print-ready PDF
- A PDF prepared for production: correct dimensions, bleed beyond the trim line, crop marks, embedded fonts and CMYK color, requiring no manual prepress fixes.
- Bleed
- Extra printed area extending past the trim edge (commonly 3mm/0.125in) so that cutting variations never leave unprinted white slivers at the edge.
- Imposition
- Arranging multiple pages or jobs onto a single press sheet in the correct order and orientation to minimize waste and speed up finishing.
- Variable data printing (VDP)
- Printing where elements like names, numbers or codes change per piece within one run — for example team jerseys or personalized mailers.
- Gang run
- Grouping several different jobs that share the same stock and process onto one press sheet to split setup costs across orders.
- Print-on-demand (POD)
- A fulfillment model where products are printed individually after each order rather than held in inventory, eliminating stock risk for sellers.
